Recommended install path
Use the browser store listing, pin Relay to the toolbar, then open the popup to create or join your vault.
Relay installs through the Chrome Web Store for browser-managed updates. After install, create an encrypted vault in the extension and add each supported Chromium browser you want to keep current.

What happens after install
Choose a username, save the generated password, and sync once. Relay encrypts bookmark contents before anything reaches the server, then opens a dashboard for health checks, preview, cleanup, undo, profiles, and settings.
Use Preview to see whether this browser is missing bookmarks from the encrypted vault before applying changes.
The dashboard flags exact duplicates, unsupported bookmark URLs, unsorted items, and old folders in the local browser.
Create named profiles for work, personal, research, or clients. Switching profiles replaces this browser's bookmarks with that profile.
Settings lets you copy or download your unlock details. Relay support will never ask for your password.
Relay is built for Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera, and other Chromium-based browsers that support the extension APIs Relay needs.
The vault starts from a username and password in the extension. Your password is required because it unlocks the encrypted vault locally.
The Chrome Web Store is the normal distribution path, so updates arrive through the browser platform.
If install fails, include your browser name, version, Relay version if visible, and the exact store or extension error.
